Angel's Craft
THE GREAT COVER-UP
(ANOTHER SWIMSUIT STORY)
Shopping
for a swimsuit is one of my least favourite activities. That's because I always get a sales clerk
with a sick sense of humour. The one I
had last week was a prime example. I
asked if she could suggest something that would make my body look good on the
beach this summer. She said,
"Sure, bury most of it in the sand."
Another
problem with shopping for swimwear is the current fashion trend. Swimsuits have gotten smaller and smaller,
so finding a modest one can be a real challenge - especially if you have a
clerk like the one I had the other morning.
"How
about this one?" she suggested, handing me what appeared to be an empty
hanger.
"Where
is it? I asked, straining my eyes to see something.
"It's
there, behind the price tag."
I
looked and looked. Finally I spotted
it. It was one of those string bathing
suits.
"If
I had wanted dental floss," I said as I handed it back to her, "I
would have gone to the drugstore."
"Well,
how about this one?" she asked, holding up a hot pink number.
"That's
a bathing suit?" I said in disbelief.
"If I buy that, what will Barbie wear this summer?"
